The report details the successes of all divisions of the department, as well as highlights many special programs and inititives undertaken during the year.

For the 2nd year in a row, the Vanderbilt Preoperative Evaluation Center (VPEC) has been awarded a Professional Research Consultants, Inc.  patient satisfaction award. This year, VPEC received a coveted 5-Star Award for Overall Quality of Care, which means the center scored at the 90th – 99th percentile based on 2009 calendar year results and as compared to similar centers nationwide.
